Maths Work

WALT:Use our problem solving skills to solve maths problems.


Success Criteria-
-Read the problem carefully.
-Write down the correct equation.
-Show how I solve the problem.
-Check my answer if it is correct.


1.You are reading a book with 189 pages.
If you want to read the same number of pages each night,how many pages would you read if you are to finish the book in 9 days?
So if you know that
189÷9=
9x20=180
9x1=9
20+1=21


A cereal box holds 18 cups of cereal.
Each serving is 3 cups.How many servings can you get from 8 boxs of cereal?
18x8=144
144÷3=
3x40=120
3x8=24
40+8=6 serving


Sam’s mother made 288 cookies.She put the cookies in bags with 9 cookies in each bag.how many bags could she full up?
288÷9=21
